Cyberbullying
By Jervon Johnson
Over 25 percent of teens have been bullied repeatedly
through their phone or on the internet. Also over 80 percent of teens use cell
phones regularly, making it the most popular form of technology and a common
medium for cyber bullying. Then there is also a large amount of teens that end
up committing or attempting suicide sadly. This is all because people use the
internet for the purpose of harming or intimidating others to make them feel better about themselves.
There are many ways to hurt a human being and this is a big part of it.
There are so many ways cyber bullying can occur for example
social media, youth or children between the ages 12 and 17 kids are all over
social media and they spend half of their day using it my guess is that
probably over a million kids a day are being harassed on social media which
might lead them to the destruction of depression. But no one really realizes
that until someone is hurt emotionally and physically. Then all of a sudden
everyone is standing up for the person who was being bullied after the damage
is already done.
as a community all this can change. Instead of getting down
on someone we could lift and support each other. You never know what a person
is going through in life and never know what a person is going to do or where a
person is going to go, that’s why you never take anyone for granted.
